Building a better society through corporate CSR events

Today, we are collaborating with Albert Serra from Concep-t, a cooperative that bridges the world of corporate event production with social and environmental education. He will help us answer the following question:

How can we introduce CSR team building into our corporate events?

Our proposal is to enhance relationships among individuals by creating a healthier team in their daily work life, while also engaging the company in society by contributing values and resources.
To achieve this goal, we have specialized in conducting Team Building activities that incorporate values or direct or indirect CSR actions through teamwork dynamics. Concep-t acts as a bridge between the need for a teamwork activity that a company has and the resource needs of a social project, creating an activity where everyone benefits.
These teamwork dynamics offer multiple benefits for the company, both at the organizational level (increasing employee engagement and team functionality) and at the personal level, as individuals feel happier by including meaningful activities in their daily lives that bring them closer to their colleagues, breaking down tensions and involving them in a greater philanthropic objective.
Organizations also gain multiple benefits. The quantitative benefits are measured in structural reforms, donations of materials (toys, furniture, computers…), environmental transformations, or even financial donations. However, the qualitative benefits are much greater, as the actions involve at-risk youth who discover a new way of understanding the working world and adulthood; children without resources who learn from the generosity of those who selflessly contribute significant value to their daily lives; and even society, which sees the restoration of an environmentally significant space for public use. In summary, these are sustainable actions where everyone wins, in one way or another.

Thus, we can see a clear example of how to align the commitment that companies are increasingly taking towards their social and environmental surroundings with the corporate activities they develop in their regular operations.

Moreover, just like with any other type of education, it is crucial to seek participatory learning methods that leave an impact on participants.
